First class apprenticeship success MANiFAB, based in Broseley, Shropshire, are reaping the rewards following a succession of first-class apprenticeship intakes throughout their engineering and warehouse capabilities. Over the past three years MANiFAB have invested heavily in young apprentices, supporting them through college and providing them with in house mentors. “apprentices have a vital part to play in any manufacturer’s future, experienced welders, finishers, machinists and engineers are hard to come by these days, so training school leavers is a necessity to support the high level of work we have” said MANiFAB’s HR Manager.

Over the past year one of our welding apprentice’s has been awarded the ‘Apprentice of the Year Award’, an accolade that 17 other students competed for. “We are very proud of what they are achieving academically in college, but also their work and ethos to learn at work is testament to the efforts that are put in to help train them.” MANiFAB have now won this accolade four times in a row through hard work, on-hand experience and the quality of precision that is required in their daily job.
